Three for the weekend, Issue #2

One single, one album, and one artist's creative process | 10.2.20

đŸ“» Hi, thanks for tuning in to Arpeggio.

The focus of Arpeggio is to provide fresh, curated music as well as data & analysis of the music biz. Curated music is important because, in a world dominated by streaming companies, there are independent artists who deserve the spotlight.

In this new series Three for the weekend, I’m sharing one single, one album, and one recording artist's creative process to listen to at your leisure over the weekend.

“You & Me Song” by Joy Crookes

Joy Crookes has been in my rotation all year, since her music sits in that downtempo and feel-good headspace I usually gravitate towards.

Now I’ve been spinning her cover of the Wannadies’ “You and Me Song,” released in September.

Untitled (Rise) by SAULT

SAULT is your favorite trio you’ve never heard of.

Rise is the latest of four full-length albums the group has recorded in TWO YEARS.

Not only is the group completely prolific, their music also a mirror of what’s happening in society. Enjoy!

BTS with Snoh Aalegra

Yes, I’m still bitter that COVID cancelled Snoh’s concert at the TLA in Philly.

As promised, here’s a live look into the creative process of one of today’s favorite voices in R&B & Soul from her latest album.

Thanks for reading & listening! I’d love to hear your comments, questions, thoughts.
